Goodbye, January. Hellooo, vacation!

I should be packing right now, but procrastinating blogging is so much more fun!

Tomorrow, I’m finally going on this thing that most of you call Thanksgiving Break/Christmas Vacation. Working in the lovely world of retail means that I had to watch everyone else have time off for Black Friday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s, while I patiently waited. I also had to wait for January to pass, being that I work in fitness retail–had to make sure those Resolutioner’s got their exercise equipment!

Can't wait to see this sign!

So now that February is upon us tomorrow, I’m free of obligations and ready to take a roadtrip for two weeks to my beloved roots in Pittsburgh/Western PA…FINALLY!!!! I can’t wait to see my Daddy and sisters, sorority sisters and high school friends! I’ll do my best to blog while I’m on vacay, but my town doesn’t seem to have many wireless hot spots. FAIL.

I have a whole slew of things I want to do while I’m there, but three are of utmost importance and non-negotiable.

1. Drink bier atΒ HofbrΓ€uhaus Pittsburgh with my sorority sisters.

So, so very good.

2. Gamble at the casino.

If I see this on the Keno machine, I'll be happy. This equals $400!!!

3. Eat some Breezy’s Pizza.

I'll definitely reserve some calories for this meal!

Yup. If those 3 are accomplished, it will have been a successful vacation and I’ll be oh-so-happy. πŸ˜€

Speaking of happy, I can think of three things just now that made me happy this January. {There are WAY more than three, but the packing IS waiting so I gotta cut it short.}

1. Nike Running knows I exist.

They tweeted me and wanted to see a pic of little ‘ol me in my new Nike half zip. I’m blushing.

2. I found a copy of the UK edition of Runner’s World in the breakroom at work today.

This is totally nothing major, but it was a cool find and it made me excited! I flipped through it and actually like it a little better than the regular one! I promise to return it when I’m done reading. πŸ˜‰

3. My boss told me today that in his manager’s meeting, they voted me Employee of the Month! Not too shabby after four months of working there!

Me in my uniform. I don't have the actual photo from the award yet!

Okay, time to pack for reals. Tootles for now–I’ll check in as soon as I can!

How was your January? What are you looking forward to in February?
